Despite the IBF regulation requiring Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs) to defend the heavyweight belt with Filip Hrgovic (15-0, 12 KOs), WBC champion Tyson Fury still believes that his unification fight with the Ukrainian can take place in March.

“If this could be done and Usyk wanted this fight, he could be my next opponent, provided that I win now [December 3 with Chisora] and everything goes well. But I don’t like to share the skin of an unkilled bear and look behind the back of the nearest rival, ”Gypsy King said in an interview with BT Sport.

“If the fight with Usyk takes place, then most likely it will take place in Saudi Arabia. I will go there after the fight, and then I will return to the UK, ”Fury added.

It is worth noting that Oleksandr Usyk, if he decides to fight Fury in March, will almost certainly lose the belt of the International Boxing Federation “at the table” and will fight Fury only for three titles, and not for the title of the absolute world champion, as was originally intended.
