Tyson Fury - Derek Chisora

The King of the Gypsies will have to defend his third title on December 3, but not necessarily in Cardiff. A press conference will probably be announced soon, during which boxing fans will learn more details.

“After unsuccessful negotiations with Joshua, we began to look for the highest ranked opponent in the WBC who would be free, and it turned out to be Derek Chisora. We also talked to Manuel Charr, because someone has to meet Tyson. Usyk immediately announced that he would not be ready by December. If we manage to fight Chisora, we want to organize something really big after that. This is our plan. In any case, I believe that Chisora will endure a lot and also give a good fight. Maybe Derek will fight even better than Joshua would. Chisora is a real fighter, and Joshua, on the other hand, has been looking a little fragile and vulnerable lately,” Warren said.

The champion himself also spoke about this a few dozen hours earlier: “In my opinion, if Chisora did not win, then at least he drew the fight with Usyk. So I think that Chisor is on the same level as Usyk, they will be a similar threat to me."

The problem is that Fury has already defeated Chisora twice: on points in July 2011, and in November 2014 ahead of schedule, forcing him to surrender between the tenth and eleventh rounds.

Warren stressed that the contracts for the Fury-Chisora fight have not yet been signed, but everything is going in this direction.
