John Fury and Bob Arum, father and promoter Tyson Fury (32-0-1, 23 KOs), respectively, named the reason why on December 3 there will be no fight between Tyson and Anthony Joshua (24-3, 22 KOs), and both blame Eddie Hearn for this.
According to them, it was Joshua's promoter, and not the boxer himself, who disrupted this fight. AJ quickly accepted the offer to fight and agreed to a 40-60 split of the profits, not in his favor. He also agreed to a rematch if he won in December. TV channels also gave the go-ahead, but the contracts for this fight have not yet been signed.
“Joshua is the goose that lays the golden eggs for their office, so Hearn doesn't want this fight. Another AJ failure would be financial suicide for his company. Joshua wants this fight, but Hearn doesn’t want it,” the charismatic father of the WBC champion is sure.
“Hearn deliberately delays the negotiations so that this duel does not take place. Why? Because Joshua has lost three of his last five fights and fears that he will also lose to Fury. In fact, he is an obstacle because both Fury and Joshua want this fight," said Arum, head of Top Rank and Fury's co-promoter.
