Well-known journalist Ariel Helwani reported that Nate Diaz over the next three months can only negotiate with the UFC, despite the status of a free agent.

Earlier, the head of Bellator Scott Cocker reported that he hoped to sign the star American welterweight.

“If a promoter says he's in talks with Nate Diaz, don't believe him. It is not true. Actually it's illegal.

Diaz can only negotiate with the UFC for the next three months. This means that he can no longer negotiate with anyone else. And he didn’t talk to anyone,” Helwani tweeted.

Recall that on September 11 at UFC 279, Diaz won a choke over compatriot Tony Ferguson. This fight was the last for the 37-year-old fighter under a contract with the UFC.
