Friday is the deadline the WBC gave Tyson Fury (32-0-1, 23 KOs) to make a final decision on whether to keep the world heavyweight title vacant. Two weeks ago, the Briton once again announced the end of his career.

This time, Fury directly notified the World Boxing Council and The Ring magazine that their championship titles were vacant. "The Ring immediately granted the Englishman's request, and the WBC offered the boxer two more weeks of reflection to confirm the choice.
