Promoter of the IBF, WBA and WBO world heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs) Oleksandr Krasyuk commented on the performance of the Ukrainian in a rematch with Anthony Joshua (24-3, 22 KOs), which took place last Saturday.
“Tyson Fury (WBC champion, who announced his desire to return from sports retirement for the sake of a unification fight - ed. note) will become the next opponent of Oleksandr Usyk ... If the Briton can withstand it mentally and physically. If he is strong enough today," Krasyuk said.
“Alexander's performance was amazing. I still can't fully comprehend it. It was amazing. The ninth round was hard as hell, and then a wonderful tenth round followed. Incredible spectacle. Such a duel happens once in a decade, maybe even once in a hundred years. AJ is a great personality, he gave it his all, and Usyk went through hell to win," Krasyuk added.
Recall that Usyk won Saturday's fight with a difference of several points, and the verdict of one of the judges who awarded the victory to the Briton was considered scandalous by many. Luckily for the sport, the other two judges got their scores right.
