Artur Beterbiev (18-0, 18 KOs) was injured and will not be able to prepare in time for the fight against Anthony Yarde (22-2, 21 KOs), scheduled for the second half of October. The fight was supposed to take place at a boxing evening in London.

In June, Beterbiev knocked out Joe Smith Jr., unifying the IBF, WBO and WBC light heavyweight championship belts. Yard entered the duel with the Russian as an official contender for the title of world champion according to the World Boxing Organization.

The last time the Briton boxed was in December. The London boxer knocked out Lyndon Arthur in the fourth round, taking revenge for his defeat twelve months ago.
