Former Dominant UFC Light Heavyweight Champion John Jones said that his long-awaited debut in the heavyweight division could take place at the end of the year.
“I heard rumors about November, but to be honest, I have no idea. However, I heard that it could be Ngannou,” Jones wrote on Twitter, communicating with one of his subscribers.
Recall that earlier UFC President Dana White stated that he was interested in organizing a fight between Jones and Stipe Miocic for the vacant belt.
Jones, 35, has not appeared in the octagon since February 2020, when he defeated Dominick Reyes via unanimous decision. Later, the American left the belt vacant due to disagreements with the promotion management and announced his transition to heavyweight.
