Floyd Mayweather Jr (50-0, 27 KOs) has officially confirmed that he will have an exhibition fight in Japan on September 25. The American’s opponent will be mixed martial arts fighter Mikuru Asakura, and the fight itself will take place at an evening organized by the RIZIN organization. The event will take place at the Saitama Supe arena and more than 35,000 fans will be able to watch it live.

In the spring, the ex-world champion in five weight categories boxed eight rounds with Don Moore at a boxing tournament in Abu Dhabi. The fight was one-sided and Mayweather was in full control of the meeting, but there was no scoring and it ended without an official verdict.

In the past, 45-year-old Mayweather has already fought one exhibition fight in Japan. The American beat Tenshin Natsukawa ahead of schedule. Mayweather will have to enter the ring at least twice more this year.
