Joshua plans to fight his second fight this year in December

Eddie Hearn announced that Anthony Joshua (24-2, 22 KOs) will hold the second fight this year in December, and the date of this performance does not depend on the result of the rematch with Oleksandr Usyk (19-0, 13 KOs). The second fight between the British and the Ukrainian will take place on August 20 in Saudi Arabia.

“Joshua needs activity. This is important not only for the boxer, but also for all his sponsorship contracts. Without a doubt, his next fight will take place in December,” said the head of Matchroom Boxing.

One of the options is a December fight between Joshua and Tyson Fury, but this option seems unlikely. Filip Hrgovic, Daniel Dubois and Joe Joyce are also waiting for the chance to cross gloves with Joshua-Usyk rematch winner.
