Undefeated former super bantamweight champion Ray Vargas (36-0, 22 KOs) dethroned the WBC featherweight champion Mark "Magnifico" Magsio (24-1, 16 KOs) by split decision in the main event of the evening at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.

After the fight, Vargas stated that he would like to have a unification fight against the world champion in four divisions and the current WBA featherweight world champion Leo Santa Cruz: "Now I want a unification fight," Vargas said. — I want to fight Leo Santa Cruz.
