Mayer-Baumgardner September 10 in London

On September 10, London will host a unification bout between Mikaela Mayer (17-0, 5 KOs) and Alicia Baumgardner (12-1, 7 KOs). At stake will be the WBO, IBF, WBC belts and The Ring magazine's super featherweight title.

The terms of the fight were agreed a few weeks ago. The place and date of the fight will be officially confirmed in the near future. Mayer won on points against Jennifer Khan in her last appearance in the ring. Baumgarder last fought in April, defeating Edith Mattis on points.

The main event of the evening is a middleweight unification bout between Claressa Shields and Savwana Marshall. Athletes will cross gloves for IBF, WBO, WBC and WBA championship belts. In the UK, the boxing evening will be broadcast on Sky Sports, and in the US on ESPN.
