Rio Olympic medalist Joe Joyce (13-0, 12 KOs) will face Christian Hammer (27-9, 19 KOs) this coming Saturday in London. Joyce's coach is Cuban Ismael Salas, who is already eyeing a fight with the winner of the August fight Oleksandr Usyk against Anthony Joshua II for IBF, WBA and WBO heavyweight belts.

“Usyk and Vasily Lomachenko have one drawback. They can be hit hard with the right. If it comes to the fight between Joyce and Usyk, we will be ready. But first, we'll see how AJ handles his rematch against last year's winner," Salas said.

“If new coach Robert Garcia gets everything he can from Joshua, AJ has a good chance of winning. However, sometimes even the best coach can't improve anything. Ultimately, it is the boxer who has to do his job in the ring,” added the Cuban, who works or has worked with many great boxers besides Joyce, among others Cuban stars Yuriorkis Gamboa, Erislandy Lara and Robeis Ramirez, or Venezuelan world champion Jorge Linares.

“When I watch the fights of my opponents, I look for obvious weak points, and we try to use them. This is how I calculated Daniel Dubois. He had one big weakness, and Joyce and I hit this very sensitive point, the Achilles' heel," the well-known coach summed up the topic.
