Devin Haney, apparently, is not going to sit idly by as the newly crowned undisputed lightweight champion. The 23-year-old native of Oakland, California, defeated George Kambosos on points earlier this month and unified all four belts in the 61kg division. For this fight, Haney went to Australia, the homeland of Kambosos, and won a landslide victory at the Marvel Stadium in Melbourne.

Haney's immediate future depends on whether Kambosos decides to activate the revenge clause. Kambosos, while in words, announced immediately after the battle that he intended to do this. Haney had to agree to an immediate rematch with Kambosos in Australia to get a chance to compete for the overall title.

However, if for any reason Kambosos decides not to pursue a rematch, Haney will have no shortage of attractive options. In a recent interview, he talked about two fights that he would like the most. One with three-division champion Vasily Lomachenko, and the other with Gervonta Davis.

“I would be interested in two fighters - Loma and Tank,” Haney said in an interview with Tha Boxing Voice. “These fights interest me the most. But I will fight anyone. I am a real warrior."

At the same time, Haney (28-0, 15 KOs) understands that politics can interfere with these fights. On paper, a fight with Lomachenko is much easier to arrange than with Davis.

Haney and Lomachenko share the same Top Rank promoter who has an exclusive deal with ESPN, the network that broadcast Haney's victory over Kambosos. However, one unresolved question is whether and when Lomachenko will resume his boxing career. Initially, the Ukrainian was supposed to fight Kambosos for all four titles, but decided to join the territorial defense in his homeland in order to protect his country from Russian occupation.

Davis (27-0, 25 KOs) is a Premier Boxing Champions boxer and promoter of Mayweather Promotions. Davis may leave his promoters further after his stoppage win over Rolando Romero last month in Brooklyn, New York. It is noteworthy that Davis himself recently challenged Haney to a duel.

“These fights interest me the most, but what you want can’t always be organized,” Haney said. - It's still a business, and I understand that. We just need to see what my team can come up with and see if it's realistic."

Haney said that he and his team will discuss next steps with Cambosos promoter Lou DiBella pretty soon. Haney also noted that there is a chance that he could potentially move up to super lightweight.

“If I don’t fight Kambosos, I don’t think I will continue to fight at lightweight,” Haney added. - But let's see. If he wants to fight I will probably have to give up one of my belts because we have a rematch clause so we can't fight other lightweight fighters if he wants to fight. So let's see."
