Haney defeated Kambosos, became the absolute champion

In the fight for the absolute lightweight title Devin "Dream" Haney (28-0, 15 KOs) won by unanimous decision over George "Fierce" Kambosos Jr. (20-1, 10 KOs) in front of over 40,000 fans at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne, Australia.

In fact, the outcome of this technical fight was decided by Haney's sharp and accurate jab, which largely neutralized Kambosos. Judging scores: 116-112, 116-112 and 118-110.

There was a rematch clause in the contract for the fight, so they, most likely, Haney and Kambosos will have another meeting in the fall in Australia.
