According to the British tabloid Mirror, the 41-year-old David Haye (28-4, 26 KOs), a former world cruiserweight and heavyweight champion (2009-11), was arrested by police yesterday for allegedly beating another man last year.

Hay was arrested yesterday at the airport, today he appeared in court, confirmed his personal details and denied the assault charges. The next one-day hearing will take place on September 9. At the moment, David has been released from custody after posting bail.
Immediately after the summer holidays, the alleged victim, the police investigator and three witnesses of last year's events must testify. One of the witnesses will be 29-year-old model Sian Osbourne, who accompanied the former champion that evening. The judge also warned Haye that if he did not appear in court, he could be arrested.
Haye decided to end his boxing career in 2018 after his second loss to Tony Bellew.
