Mayer and Baumgardner agree to unification bout

Promotional organization Top Rank announced that the terms of the unification bout between Mikaela Mayer (17-0, 5 KOs) and Alicia Baumgardner (12-1, 7 KOs). At stake in the fight will be the WBO, IBF, WBC belts and the title of The Ring magazine super featherweight champion.

The fight will take place at the turn of September and October in the USA. The exact date and place will be determined in the near future.

Mayer won on points against Jennifer Hahn in her last appearance in the pro ring. Baumgarder last fought in April, defeating Edith Mattis on points.
