Oliveira chokeslammed Gaethje in the first round

In Phoenix, Arizona, in the main event of the UFC 274 tournament at the Footprint Arena, the lightweight Brazilian Charles Oliveira (33-8, 21-8 UFC) won by choke submission in the first round at 3:22 over Justin Gaethje (23-4, 6-4 UFC). Oliveira lost the championship before the fight at the weigh-in and only Gaethje had the opportunity to win the belt.
