Whittaker pulls out of Vettori fight

Former UFC Middleweight Champion Robert Whittaker said that he would not be able to fight with Marvin Vettori due to injury. Their meeting was supposed to take place on June 11 at UFC 275 in Singapore.

“I am sad to announce that due to an injury I received during the training camp, I will not be able to compete in June. I did my best, but I don’t have time to recover in time. This means that I will return to the octagon a few months later and I will be better than ever, ”the Australian wrote on Instagram.

Whittaker last appeared in the Octagon on February 13, losing by unanimous decision to champion Israel Adesanya.
