Eddie Hearn confirmed in a talkSPORT interview that the rematch Oleksandr Usyk (19-0, 13 KOs) with Anthony Joshua (24-2, 22 KOs) will definitely take place this summer.
In the coming days, Kheran will meet in London with Usyk's representatives Oleksandr Krasyuk and Egis Klimas, who will fly to the UK capital for the duel between Tyson Fury and Dillian Whyte.
Soon after, the official announcement of the fight for the WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight belts should follow. The working date is July 23rd, location: possibly Saudi Arabia, although there are other proposals.
Oleksandr Usyk himself said that he would definitely watch Fury's Saturday fight with White for the WBC belt, but not at the ringside in London, because he did not intend to interrupt his preparatory camp for the duel with Joshua. This was stated in an interview with Sky Sports by the promoter of the Ukrainian Oleksandr Krasyuk.
“Egis Klimas [Usyk’s manager] and I plan to be at this evening and watch the fight from the ringside, but Alexander will watch it on TV,” Krasyuk said.
It is possible that the winner of the Usyk-Joshua fight, originally scheduled for July, will meet the best of the Fury-White pair in a unification fight at the end of the year.
