Former Bellator Middleweight Champion Alexander Shlemenko shared his expectations from the rematch between Aljamain Sterling And Petr Yan, which will be held on the night of April 10 at UFC 273 in Jacksonville.

“Petya is my favorite. The first fight showed a lot. I do not think that during this time Sterling has seriously changed his training. I don't think the fight will end in the first rounds. But in the third or fifth rounds, a knockout from Petya is possible.

The longer the fight goes on, the more chances Ian has for a knockout and the less chances for Sterling to win. No offense to Sterling, I think the result is a foregone conclusion in this fight. There will be no intrigue in this fight. Petya is clearly stronger and should win,” Shlemenko said.

Recall that in March last year, Yan lost to Sterling by disqualification due to an illegal knee strike and lost his title. The rematch was scheduled for October 30, but the American dropped out due to injury. As a result, the Russian fought for the temporary belt with Corey Sandhagen, winning by unanimous decision.
