Sturm sensationally lost to Seeley

In the IBO eliminator, a little-known 39-year-old Istvan Seely (26-2-2, 14 KOs) won majority decision ruined 43-year-old former two-division world champion's comeback attempt Felix Sturm (42-6-3.18 KOs) in Saturday Night's Main Event at the Westfalenhalle in Dortmund, Germany.

Seeley powerfully pressed Sturm, while the opponents often collided heads, and Sturm got the most out of these clashes. Sturm at times showed glimpses of his former technical prowess, but this was not enough to overcome Seeley's aggression. Judging scores: 115-113, 116-111 and 114-114.
