On Saturday, the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium will host the so-called "heaviest boxing match in history." Its organization took almost two years of negotiations between the promoters and more than five years of bitter rivalry between the participants themselves. All of this should end in the ring when Game of Thrones star Thor "The Mountain" Bjornsson takes on British strongman Eddie Hall. Their meeting is scheduled for six three-minute rounds and will be held according to the rules of professional boxing.
Whether Bjornsson vs. Hall really becomes the "toughest" boxing match will be revealed at Friday's weigh-ins. The combined weight of Bjornsson and Hall should exceed the 731 lb (331 kg) record of the 2007 fight between Eric "Butterbean" Ash (189 kg) and Joe Siciliano (142 kg), in which Butterbean won by technical knockout in the second round.
The average weight of Bjornsson is about 150 kg, Hall - 190 kg.
