Former UFC Welterweight Champion Dustin Poirier responded to a challenge from Colby Covington.
"That was cute. People want to see big fights and this is a big fight. Obviously, Colby is not included in the circle of contenders for the title. He lost twice to the champion, so he needs to win a few more victories.
If you want to fight for the title again, you need to fight contenders from the welterweight division. I don't know if I'll move up to that weight or stay light. We'll see.
I want to fight Nate Diaz. I've been watching the Diaz brothers all my life, so this fight captivates me. It will be a spectacular battle for the fans. This fight is more likely than with Covington,” said Poirier in an interview with ESPN.
