Joe Joyce (13-0, 12 KOs) enthusiastically accepted the news about his possible fight with Anthony Joshua (24-2, 22 KOs). The former world heavyweight champion recently recalled on social networks that he had the opportunity to fight Joyce in an amateur ring, and he is sure that he will defeat him ahead of schedule.
“That would be a great fight. Let's spend it in Nigeria! I am high in the rankings, and I have not yet had a defeat in the pro ring. I'm ready," the former European champion replied.
The last time Joyce boxed was in July, winning ahead of schedule against Carlos Takam. The 36-year-old Brit was going to return to the ring in May and could face Joseph Parker.
Joshua was supposed to have a rematch with Oleksandr Usyk in his next professional fight, but the Ukrainian is currently defending his homeland from Russian occupation with arms in hand. It is possible that in the meantime the Briton will fight another opponent, and one of the candidates is Joyce.
