Jaime Munguia (39-0, 31 KOs) received an offer to fight against the WBC world middleweight champion Jermalla Charlo (32-0, 22 KOs). The fight may take place in early May at one of the boxing evenings in the United States.
A boxer from Mexico has not recently complained about the lack of interesting offers. Recently, he was appointed by the WBO federation as a contender for the fight for the interim title against Zhanibek Alimkhanuly.
Munguia can also fight in the final WBC eliminator with Carlos Adams. In his last professional performance, the Mexican, who previously owned the championship belt in the weight category up to 69 kilograms, won on points against Gabriel Rosado.
