Davis-Romero on May 28 or June 4

Gervonta Davis

On May 28 or June 4, a fight between the regular WBA lightweight champion Gervonta Davis (26-0, 14 KOs) and Rolando Romero (14-0, 12 KOs) will take place in the USA. The date and venue of the fight will be officially confirmed in the near future.

Davis and Romero were originally scheduled to fight in December, but the latter pulled out of the bout as allegations of sexual assault were made against him. At the end of last year, Davis met Isaac Cruz, whom he defeated on points.

The last time the 26-year-old Romero fought in July last year, defeating Anthony Yigit. At the stake in this fight there was the interim WBA lightweight belt.
