Former UFC welterweight title contender Gilbert Burns and undefeated division prospect Khamzat Chimaev will fight on April 9 at UFC 273 in Jacksonville. This was announced by the head of promotion Dana White.
35-year-old Burns (20-4) lost to champion Kamaru Usman by technical knockout last February. In July, the Brazilian returned to the winning streak by scoring a unanimous decision win over Stephen Thompson.
27-year-old Chimaev (10-0) had four fights in the UFC and won all by TKOs. In his last fight, the Swedish Chechen strangled Lee Jingliang in the first round.
