Ryan Garcia (21-0, 18 KOs) and Gervonta Davis (26-0, 24 KOs) are two young lightweight stars whose fight has long been discussed by boxing fans around the world, especially in the United States. Davis is a regular WBA world champion. Garcia is still waiting for his first title fight, but he does not intend to give in to Gervonte during possible negotiations.

“Gervonta Davis can fight other boxers on pay-per-view, but he won’t get the same sales result with any of them as he did with me. Gervonta, you are not a bigger star than me. My format is probably larger, but he does not recognize this. However, I will hold back my ego and say that I am for an equal distribution of money in our fight, ”said Garcia, who will face Ghanaian Emmanuel Tago on April 9 in San Antonio.

In January last year, Kingri won ahead of schedule against former Olympic champion Luke Campbell. Ryan announced in April that he was taking a break from boxing due to mental health issues. He was supposed to come back and fight Joseph Diaz in November but suffered an injury to his right wrist.

Finally, in January, the WBA named Gervonta Davis' mandatory opponent Rollie Romero, who has been close to this confrontation in the past. If Ryan Garcia wins the aforementioned April bout and Davis defeats Romero, the Garcia vs. Davis theme is sure to come back with a vengeance.
