Conor McGregor's permanent mentor John Kavanagh gave a prediction for the upcoming rematch between the UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya and former belt holder Robert Whittaker, which will be held February 12 at UFC 271.
“I think they are both fantastic fighters, but for stylistic reasons, I'm leaning towards Adesanya repeating what he did in the first fight. But that doesn't mean the odds in this fight aren't 55/45. It's a very, very close fight.
Whittaker has had some great victories since losing to Adesanya, but Israel is just special. He has an aura of invincibility. It's nice to watch him, so I'm leaning towards his victory," Kavanagh said in an interview with the Main Event YouTube channel.
Recall that the first meeting of these fighters took place in October 2019 and ended with Adesanya's victory by knockout in the second round.
