Ryan Garcia - Emmanuel Tago April 9 in USA

One of the most popular US boxers, lightweight Ryan Garcia (21-0, 18 KOs) will return to the ring on April 9 in San Antonio. His opponent will be a Ghanaian Emmanuel Tago (32-1, 15 KOs).

In the context of the fight with Garcia, many names have appeared lately, including Isaac Cruz, Mercito Gesta and Tevin Farmer. However, Ryan's ultimate opponent will be the aforementioned 33-year-old Tago, who lost his pro debut in 2004 but hasn't lost since.

In his most recent fight to date, Accra's Game Boy defeated Mason Menard in Hollywood in November 2020 by majority decision.

23-year-old Ryan Garcia in his last fight in January last year ahead of schedule won against former Olympic champion Luke Campbell. Ryan announced in April that he was taking a break from boxing due to mental health issues. He was scheduled to return to fight Joseph Diaz in November but suffered an injury to his right wrist.
