£15 million is the amount for which, according to the Daily Star, Anthony Joshua (24-2, 22 KOs) is ready to refuse an immediate rematch with Oleksandr Usyk (19-0, 13 KOs), which will allow the Ukrainian to sign a contract for the fight for the title of undisputed heavyweight champion with Tyson Fury (30-0-1, 21 KOs).
According to the same newspaper, the "green light" from Dillian Whyte (28-2, 19 KOs), which "blocks" Fury's unification as a mandatory contender for the WBC title, is an additional £5 million.
Eddie Hearn, Joshua and Whyte's promoter, recently confirmed that "something needs to be done" about the Usyk-Fury fight, but noted that it's a "background scenario" for now. “True, these negotiations are also ongoing. I think there are chances for that. We are currently working on the Joshua-Usyk and Whyte-Fury fights, but if the Fury-Usyk negotiations resume, things can change quickly,” said the head of Matchroom Boxing.
