WBC and IBF Light Heavyweight World Champion Arthur Beterbiev claims that the WBA title holder team Dmitry Bivol pulled his sparring partner right out of training camp to fight him.

“Honestly, I haven’t watched a single fight of Dmitry Bivol. Maybe I saw some fragments, but I didn’t watch a single fight. I'm interested, but when I sign a contract to fight with him, then I'll start studying, watching.

There are voluntary protections and mandatory ones. Mandatory is much more difficult. For example, when you sign a contract, you can set up a rematch in a voluntary defense.
