September 25 Oleksandr Usyk (19-0, 13 KO) defeated Anthony Joshua (24-2, 22 KO) by unanimous decision, having won the IBF, WBA and WBO heavyweight belts. Soon, the Ukrainian will focus on the rematch with the British planned for April, but for now he is getting used to world fame. Winning a rematch over A.J. will likely open up the opportunity for Usyk to face off against the WBC champion Tyson Fury.

“After defeating Joshua, my life changed, but of course my rules did not change. I still live by my standards. I just became more recognizable. After defeating Joshua, I visited several European countries. Now many more people are interested in me,” Usyk said in an interview with Forbes.

“I was mentally in good shape before the fight with Joshua, and now I'm fine. I always knew what I was working for. I walked straight to my destination. Of course, things can change, but for now this is what it is. The victory changed people's perception of me, and they have the right to do so,” the Ukrainian added.

“If I get all the heavyweight belts, I will make a very big statement to the whole world. I'm not worried about whether Joshua is ready for revenge. Alexander Usyk is ready for any duel. Obviously, Anthony will change everything before the second fight, introduce a new approach,” Usyk summed up the topic.
