December 18 at the Terminal arena in Brovary, Ukraine, Denys Berinchyk (16-0, 9 KOs) defended his WBO International Lightweight belt in a tense battle with Isa Chaniev (15-4, 7 KOs) by unanimous decision: 116-112, 118-110, and 118-111.

“I thank everyone who supported me. I think I have delighted you all with my spectacular boxing. The opponent was worthy, it was not easy with him. Only boxing is better than boxing. The fight was very hard, it was filled with blood. We were able to stop the bleeding in just three rounds. Then I caught my breath and took control of the fight. I am very glad that I have trampled all 12 rounds,” said Berinchyk after the fight.

Traditionally, Denys and his team prepared a bright exit. This time he went by car in the guise of a stylish Santa Claus with gifts for the audience.
