Former UFC welterweight title contender Gilbert Burns declared his readiness to fight Khamzat Chimayev.
“The UFC knows that I want to fight and I am ready to fight the right opponent at the right time. The only free fighter in the top 5 right now is Vicente Luque, but he is like a brother to me and I'm not going to challenge him even if it is a title fight."
"As for the rest of the top fighters: Covington, Edwards and Masvidal will never challenge me. They categorically do not want a fight with me, but Chimaev is a real threat. He had a great fight, and I think we can meet with him. I will give him such an opportunity," the Brazilian told MMA Junkie.
Earlier the Swedish edition of Frontkick reported that the Burns vs Chimaev fight could take place in January.
