Masvidal withdraws from Edwards fight, Chimaev is ready to step up

American welterweight Jorge Masvidal will not be able to make the bout against Leon Edwards of UK scheduled for December 11 at UFC 269 in Las Vegas. Masvidal has reportedly suffered an injury, details of which have not yet been released. Undefeated prospect Hamzat Chimaev has volunteered to replace the American fighter:

"Let's do it, bro," the Chechen with the Swedish passport tweeted to Edwards.

UFC 269 will be headlined by the Charles Oliveira vs Dustin Poirier lightweight title fight.
