According to unofficial information, Dmitry Bivol (18-0, 11 KOs) is scheduled to fight at home in Russia in the first half of December. At stake there will be WBA light heavyweight title.
After about 20 months layofff Bivol returned to the ring in May and defended his belt in the clash against Craig Richards. Bivol fought back at a level worse than usual, and had the Briton won one more round, the judges would have declared a draw. Bivol wants to unify the light heavyweight titles next year, so he wants to remove the "rust" from his layofff, which will make such a confrontation easier for him in the future.
"We want to fight in Russia in December and then target opponents like Gilberto Ramirez, Saul Alvarez and above all Artur Beterbiev. We would like to win other belts," said Vadim Kornilov, Bivol's manager.
