Haney and Diaz agreed to fight for December 4th

December 4th at Matchroom Boxing in Las Vegas Devin Haney (26-0, 15 KO) will finally fight Joseph Diaz (32-1-1, 15 KO). The boxers, after tense negotiations, agreed on the terms of the fight and will sign contracts in the near future.

Haney is the WBC lightweight champion. Diaz has a “temporary” championship belt in the same weight category. Diaz initially did not want to date Haney, but Eddie Hearn offered him a fee of over $ 1.5 million.

Haney last boxed in May, beating Jorge Linares on points. Prior to this, the Californian boxer beat Yuriorkis Gamboa. Diaz defeated Javier Fortuna in his last performance.
