In the main fight of the Fury-Wilder 3 boxing night undercard in Las Vegas, Cuban Frank Sanchez (19-0, 13 KOs) won by unanimous decision over Nigerian Efe Ajagba (15-1, 12 KOs) in a battle of two unbeaten super featherweights. Ajagba was knocked out in the seventh round The judges' scorecards: 98-91, 98-91 и 97-92.
In a heavyweight rematch, Finland's Robert Helenius (31-3, 19 KOs) proved that the first time was no fluke, again defeating Poland's Adam Kovnacki (20-2, 15 KOs). Helenius looked better than his opponent from the very first round and Kovnacki started to get really into his punches below the belt, for which he was penalized one point in the fifth round, and in the sixth round the referee decided to stop the fight because of constant such punches at 2:38.
Jared Anderson (10-0, 10 KOs) scored an early second round victory over previously undefeated Vladimir Tereshkin (22-1-1, 12 KOs). Anderson cornered Tereshkin in the second round and forced the referee to intervene with a series of unanswered punches at 2:51. As a result of the fight, Anderson claimed the NABF heavyweight title.
Puerto Rican middleweight Edgar Berlanga (18-0, 16 KOs) picked up a tough win over Marcelo Coceres (30-3-1, 16 KOs) of Argentina. Berlanga was knocked out in the ninth round. All three judges scored the fight in favor of Berlanga with the same score of 96-93.
First middleweight boxer Vladamir Hernandez (13-4, 6 KOs) unexpectedly defeated former world champion Julian "J-Rock" Williams (27-2, 16 KOs) by split decision. Judges' scorecards: 96-94 to Hernandez, 96-94 to Williams and 97-93 to Hernandez.
Two-time Olympic gold medalist Cuban Robeisi Ramirez (8-1, 4 KOs) won by unanimous decision over Orlando Gonzalez Ruiz (17-1, 10 KOs) of Puerto Rico. The judges' scores were 99-91, 99-91 and 97-93.
In their first bout at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Ukrainian super featherweight Viktor Vykhrist, also known as Viktor Faust (8-0, 6 KOs), stopped Mike Marshall (6-1-1, 4 KOs) in the third round. Vychrist sent Marshall to knockdowns in the second and third rounds. After the second knockdown, referee Robert Hoyle stopped the fight at 1:49.
Bruce Carrington of Brooklyn (1-0) made his pro debut, defeating Cesar Cantu (3-3) by unanimous decision from the judges at bantamweight. All three judges tallied 40-36.
