Bob Arum made an offer to Eddie Hearn that could lead to an all-round heavyweight title fight between Tyson Fury (30-0-1, 21 KOs) and Oleksandr Usyk (19-0, 13 KOs). However, the British promoter rejected the plan from the head of the Top Rank promotion.

Arum advised Anthony Joshua to refrain from enforcing a rematch clause with Usyk and allow the Ukrainian to duel with Fury if he beats Deontay Wilder on Saturday. Joshua would then fight another opponent and have a guaranteed fight with the winner of the Fury vs Usyk fight.

"I heard that, and even before he finished the offer, I said it wasn't going to happen," Hearn said.

Joshua's rematch with Usyk is expected to take place next spring. The exact date and venue of the fight will be determined no later than December.
