"It means a lot to me. The fight went exactly the way I thought it would. There were a couple of moments from Anthony when he pressed, but those are minor things. You didn't see the best Usyk tonight," replied the new unified world heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk after defeating the former king of the division Anthony Joshua this Saturday in London.

"There was no such goal [to win by knockout]. In the beginning I wanted to do it somewhere, to hit, to knock him down, but then my coaching staff brought forbidden me to do it," Usyk added. "The only thing I wanted to do was to praise my lord, Jesus Christ, with this fight and say that everything is glory to God and the victory is from him. I want to say hello to my daughter Elisabeth, to Kirill, to Michael. I send my greetings to you. Today, twelve years ago my wife said "yes" to me. Today is a double celebration for me."

"At the moment I want to go home," Usyk said when asked about the rematch. "I've been preparing very hard for this fight since January and I've practically been little with my family. I miss my kids a lot. I want to watch them grow, I want to watch them scream, I want to watch them get their clothes dirty. I want to watch it all."
