The verbal altercation between Billy Joe Saunders (30-1, 14 KOs) and Chris Eubank Jr (30-2, 22 KOs) continues. Until recently, the son of the legendary champion claimed that the former two weight class champion was demanding £5 million for their duel.

"Daniel Dubois suffered a severe eye injury, a real eye injury. It was different with Saunders - there was a bruise under his eye, but there was no broken bone in his eye socket, no fracture, no marks - it was all made up. That's why he'd been missing for the last few months - he was ashamed of himself for giving up. He has no credibility, he has no position in the sport, so he has no reason to demand 5 million. He will get what he is offered. I'm the main party, and when he realizes that, then we'll talk," said Eubank Jr. who will step into the ring with Sven Elbir (18-1, 14 KOs) in early October.

Saunders, on the other hand, is talking low-key about his comeback after his May loss to Saul Alvarez (56-1-2, 38 KOs). Billy Joe claims he's not sure if he'll ever return to the ring at all. Saunders states that he is no longer interested in the financial side of things, but with the right amount of money, he will indeed consider a return.

"Of course the fans have been good to me, supporting me the whole time. I know a fight with Eubank will be interesting for the fans, but it's not really a fight I aspire to or need," Saunders said.

"I'm financially secure, I've done everything, I've gone all the way from Southern British champion to two weight classes champion. But I am willing to consider options that I would be interested in. If the money is right, I'd be willing to go for the fans than for any other reason. I've got kids now, I've secured their future and I'd like to spend more time with them than with my gloves in the ring," concluded the 32-year-old boxer.
