Jim Lampley has refused to work as a commentator for Saturday night's Triller Fight Club in Hollywood. The famous American journalist did not want to work on 58-year-old Evander Holyfield's fight with Vitor Belfort, which will be the main event of the evening.
It was recently announced that Lampley has returned to commentating on boxing nights and will work full-time on Triller events. The 72-year-old has been a commentator for many years on HBO's boxing nights in the United States. He last worked on such a tournament in December 2018, after which HBO decided to retire from the boxing business.
Belfort's opponent for Saturday night was supposed to be Oscar De La Hoya, but he declined to participate citing a coronavirus. Florida will also host, among other things, Anderson Silva's boxing bout with Tito Ortiz.
