Alexander Emelianenko once again spoke out about his former opponent Sergey Kharitonov. On August 21 at Bellator 265, Kharitonov lost to Cheick Kongo by choke hold, surrendering in the last second of the second round.

"Kharitonov's time has passed. He's no longer training, he's not gaining form. You can see it even by his appearance and work in the ring. He has become slow, drawn-out. Kharitonov is already out for his last fights and to earn his pension, not to fight and win. He wants to rip off the money for the contract negotiated by the sponsor. Kharitonov is already in the past," Emelianenko said.

Back in 2006, Emelianenko defeated Kharitonov by technical knockout.
