Muradov: "Czech Republic does not respect me"

UFC middleweight Mahmud Muradov explained why he stopped representing the Czech Republic, where he has lived for several years.

"I used to raise two flags, now I raise one - of Uzbekistan. Because the Czech Republic still hasn't given me a residence permit. This country does not respect me. I was waiting for my documents for five years, but they did not give me one. I don't know why: I pay a lot of taxes every month and every year. I decided this: if the country does not respect me, why should I hoist its flag.

"Why one percent on the Czech Republic? My friends, the team is one percent. The Czech Republic is big - 10 million. For the last year I've been living with these thoughts. I'm sick of it: You give everything of yourself, you help, and they... Whatever the answer, that's how they say it is. If you go to war against someone, get ready to accept war yourself," Muradov said.
