Johnny Nelson appreciates the talent and accomplishments of Oleksandr Usyk (18-0, 13 KOs), but says the significant physical difference will prevent the Ukrainian from defeating Anthony Joshua (24-1, 22 KOs).
"Usyk is a good boxer, with a great record, even better than Joshua, at least in amateur boxing, but in my opinion Anthony will be too big, too strong and too aggressive for him," says the former champion and now respected boxing expert. "Usyk will have to use his unusual style and try to outwit Joshua. For Anthony it will not be an easy fight. Whoever says the result is certain is wrong."
"Joshua should not underestimate Usyk just because he is smaller. He has to show his strength and athleticism. I expect him to win, although it will be a tough task," predicts Nelson.
Joshua vs Usyk, with the WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight belts on the line, is scheduled for September 25 in London.
