Promotional bids to determine the organizer of the WBO world welterweight title bout of Terence Crawford (37-0, 28 KOs) and Shawn Porter (31-3-1, 17 KOs) is set for September 2. Until then, the boxing teams can come to an agreement by not participating in the bids.
The minimum purse that will be eligible to bid is set at $200,000. The total purse will be split 60-40 in Crawford's favor.
Negotiations for this fight initially sought to reach an agreement between Top Rank and Premier Boxing Champions. In the end, the two sides did not come to an agreement, but both camps have stated their willingness to hold this fight.
The 33-year-old Crawford last fought last November, defeating Kell Brook. Porter last fought in August last year. Porter is ranked second in the latest WBO rankings.
