The teams of Terence Crawford (37-0, 28 KOs) and Shawn Porter (31-3-1, 17 KOs) have yet to reach an agreement on a WBO welterweight title fight. The negotiation time set by the World Boxing Organization ends August 20. The date for promotion bids will be determined on that date.
The minimum amount to bid is set at $200,000. The total bid will be split 60 to 40 in Crawford's favor.
It was previously reported that negotiations were heading in the right direction and the duel would likely take place on November 13 or 20. If an agreement is reached, the fight would have to be televised in the U.S. on pay-per-view by two television networks simultaneously, FOX and ESPN. The broadcast of the Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder fight in October would be made similar.
The 33-year-old Crawford last fought in November, defeating Kell Brook. Porter last fought in August the previous year. Porter is ranked second in the latest WBO rankings.
