Former UFC interim lightweight titleholder Dustin Poirier thinks he should be the next opponent for reigning champion Charles Oliveira. That said, the 32-year-old "Diamond" hasn't ruled out that he could also face Nate Diaz.
"Oliveira and Diaz are my potential opponents. I need to talk to the UFC and find out about the promotion's future plans. I think I should fight for the belt next. Even after the fight, White stated that our fight should happen. I don't know what's going to happen, but I have a feeling we're going to find out soon," Poirier said on The MMA Hour.
Poirier last fought on July 11 at UFC 264, defeating Conor McGregor by technical knockout.
